Castiel peered down at the sleeping Winchester. Over the several hours he, Dean, Gabriel and Sam had stayed at the beach, Castiel had moved from their uncomfortable and awkward position in the sand. Dean had helped him grab a few large beach towels, and spread them out together so that they could lay on them without getting too sandy. Not long afterwards, Dean had fallen asleep in the angel's arms, with his face lying gently on his bare shoulder. Castiel couldn't help but smile. He wouldn't admit it out loud, but he was honestly having fun. He enjoyed watching the waves crash onto the shore. He enjoyed sitting with his back propped against a smooth boulder, and watching the setting sun slip over the horizon. He enjoyed the feeling of Dean against his human vessel. He enjoyed when Dean would grasp his hand, pull it to his lips, and give soft and careful kisses to his palm. Castiel just really loved it.
He let out a blissful sigh, shutting his eyes against the dark sky, listening to the soothing waves of the ocean shore. Suddenly, he remembered something; a quick flash of realization like a smack in the face. His eyes shot open, now wide and alert.
"Gabriel!" he whispered, not needing to raise his voice, knowing his brother would be able to hear him wherever he and Sam Winchester were hiding. "Gabriel, I need to speak with you."
An irritated response answered from a few yards away, behind another large boulder. "What is it? I'm kind of in the middle of something."
Castiel's blue eyes flicked over to where the archangel's voice was coming from. "Well, remember when Dean and I found you and Sam back on that hill earlier this evening?" He could hear the sigh in Gabriel's tone as he replied.
"Yeah, how could I forget the moment you so rudely interrupted me? What about it?"
Castiel grinned excitedly. "Well, for a minute, Dean changed."
Silence. "…Okay, changed how?"
"He was his old self again; didn't you hear? He practically snarled out you when he spotted what you and Sam were doing." Castiel peered down at the sleeping human, smiling softly. "He was protecting his little brother."
"Oh. So, now what? Is that, like, a sign or something?" he asked, sounding annoyed. "Does this thing wear off? Or do we have to just trigger their old selves back?" Gabe suddenly gasped. "Ooh! Let's try it with Sam! Cas, start making out with Dean!"
Castiel choked indignantly. "Gabriel!" he scolded. "I am not going to do what you so obviously don't mind to do with Sam. And besides, Dean is asleep."
Gabriel suddenly appeared in front of him, arms crossed over his chest. "Yeah, and so is Sam. But I'm sure Deano wouldn't care if you woke him up to get a little action." He grinned, wiggling his eyebrows. "I bet he'd love it, actually."
Castiel glared at his older brother. "I refuse. Let's try to figure out a different way to trigger their inner selves, since they must still be them inside." He paused, frowning. "If that makes any sense."
Gabriel shrugged. "To other people, probably not. But to us, it makes perfect sense," he chuckled.
"Mn… Cas?" Dean suddenly mumbled, rubbing his cheek against Castiel's bare shoulder before raising his head to sleepily blink at his angel. "Everything okay?"
Castiel hesitated. "Yes, Dean, everything's fine, it's just," he broke off, unsure of how to ask. Finally, he peered down at his human carefully. "I just want to ask you a few more things." Dean blinked again, and then sat up.
"Sure thing, Cas! Anything you want," he purred, grinning as he sat back in the soft sand.
"Gabriel?" Sam's voice suddenly cried from behind the boulder a few yards away from them. "Gabriel, where are you?" he called frantically.
The archangel cursed under his breath, glancing over his shoulder towards the large rock. "It's alright, Moose, I'm just over here."
A relieved sigh followed quick rummaging before Sam hopped around the boulder and over to Gabriel, wrapping his arms around the trickster.
"I thought I'd lost you," he whined, pushing his face into the crook of Gabe's neck. Gabriel smiled lightly, patting Sam on the head.
"Don't worry kiddo; I'm not going anywhere any time soon."
Castiel watched them curiously, obviously not missing the serene look across Gabriel's face as he soothingly reassured Sam. He slowly turned his gaze back to Dean, who was still grinning goofily at him. The angel blinked.
"Okay, so…" He suddenly paused, uncertain of how to trigger Dean's inner self. He glanced at Gabriel for help. The trickster pondered for a moment, before smirking mischievously.
"Hey, Dean," he called casually. Dean frowned, forcing his eyes off of Cas to peer quizzically at Gabriel. But before he could say or ask anything, Gabriel hurriedly turned to Sam, grasping his chin and jerking his head down to catch his lips in a sloppy, wet kiss. Dean instantly grew rigid, green eyes wide in shock.
"What the fuck?!" he snarled, jumping up and tackling Gabriel to the ground, pinning the archangel to the sand. "Don't you ever fucking touch my brother again!" he spat, hands wrapped around his neck. Despite his current situation, Gabriel let out a choked laugh, grinning from ear to ear.
"Dean!" Cas cried in anxiety. The hunter immediately froze, and he leapt to his feet, rushing over to Cas.
"What? What happened?" he breathed, eyes wide with concern as he clasped onto his angel's hands. Castiel deflated, a look of disappointment reflecting in his bright blue eyes. He sighed, leaning over to frown at his brother who was still lying in the sand.
"Well, it worked for a few moments, didn't it?"
Gabriel let out another laugh. Sam, who had been standing there looking dazed, now crouched beside Gabriel, looking worried.
"Are you okay, Gabe? Want me to get you some candy?"
Gabriel smirked up at the human. "Sure thing, Sammy boy, but the candy ain't in my pocket," he sniggered, wiggling his eyebrows.
"Gabriel!" Cas scoffed, ignoring a purring Dean who had his arms wrapped around his waist, and his face buried in the crook of his neck. "Now is not the time for your entertainment. We need to find a way to rid them of the love potion."
"Well Deano had mentioned a diner they went to before headin' to the motel, didn't he?" Gabriel mentioned, sitting up and crossing his legs. Sam plopped down beside the archangel, curling his hands around Gabriel's right arm, snuggling against his body. Castiel grew quiet, thinking for a moment.
"Well, I'm sure it'd be simple to go back to the motel, and retrace our steps from there. I mean, how hard can it be to find one little diner in Illinois?"
"My brother, I believe you have spoken to soon," Gabriel grumbled, standing up and raising his right hand with Sam still attached to him. He snapped, and then they were all gone.

First date
A small knock sounded on the door of Dean's room and a second later John came in.
"Scoot Sam, I have to talk to Dean a second" He said, looking at his youngest that was lying on the bed.
The fifteen year old rolled his eyes a little, but left none the less.
"What's up dad?" Dean asked, slipping his shirt over his head.
"I'm sorry, but you can't go on your date tonight" John said, bracing himself for Deans reaction.
"What?"
"With the truck down for the moment I need the Impala tonight for the stake out and if I don't go tonight we may lose this thing again"
Dean let out a sigh and ran his hands over his face. "So you're going to be gone

Sweet Dreams (Destiel)
Dean's hand moved slowly up and down on Cas' side while his other was between his own head and the pillow. When the fallen angel squirmed, Dean's hand tensed against the skin of his partner.
Getting Cas to sleep was hard enough. The recently turned human had constantly refused to sleep over the past few days, still believing that he didn't need to. It almost made him go crazy, even though he didn't let it show, and Dean had noticed.
The Fall had been tough for both of them and Cas just wasn't himself. He believed that if he slept, only nightmares would greet him.
Dean figured that was why his angel was being so restless at t
